Exciting times as ‘The Banksia’ nears completion!

The opening of ‘The Banksia’ is almost here, as work enters its final month. 

It’s all systems go with inspections now complete and the finishing touch-ups taken care of on Lower Ground, Upper Ground, and Level 1. On Level 2, apartments have been completed and inspections are under way, while on Level 3, the final fitout is complete with defect inspections happening soon. 

In the Upper Ground cinema and library, movie chairs have been installed, library joinery is completed and the final painting and fitout are finished. 

Outside, all balconies and courtyards have been tiled, waterproofing and landscaping of planter boxes is under way, and the entry portal has been tiled and glazed in. 

Meanwhile, the final painting and rendering of the building is currently being completed, a new asphalt road has been finished, and footpaths and some driveways have been removed to allow for new replacement concrete versions. 

With practical completion is expected within days – the countdown is on!
